Position Summary
The Consultant is primarily chartered with helping to design and develop approaches to project work and ensuring the work is of high quality, compliant, and client-ready. She/he may also perform more analytical or complicated tasks directly. She/he employs basic project management techniques, strongly supports the Project Manager, and may serve as the client’s direct point of contact. The role includes a strong focus on quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), audit readiness, and data and documentation validation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
A. Project Support
Support Project Managers, Directors, and client management in meeting project goals, ensuring deliverables meet quality, compliance, and audit standards.

B. Project Execution & Management
Play a key role in managing and executing project work. Become familiar with project management fundamentals (including PMP terms and approaches) and apply those principles to projects or tasks as directed by the Project Manager.
1. Initiating
  • Identify new opportunities through client discussions and observation.
  • Raise opportunities to the Project Manager.
2. Planning
  • Provide planning support to the client team and Project Manager.
  • Contribute to the development of quality control frameworks, audit procedures, and structured review approaches.
  • Develop and refine checklists and control frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.
3. Executing
  • Meet with the team regularly and support the Project Manager.
  • Spearhead quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities across deliverables.
  • Perform pre- and post-submission reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and client readiness.
  • Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and verification of outputs.
  • Review supporting evidence and validate documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Ensure proper records management practices are followed.
  • Maintain clear traceability and audit trails for all project deliverables.
  • Perform analysis and prepare high-quality, client-ready work products.
4. Monitoring and Controlling
  • Perform and oversee quality control inspections, including sampling of outputs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct audit, assurance, and validation activities to ensure adherence to project standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and improve QA tools such as checklists, templates, and training materials.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks related to scope, schedule, budget, or quality.
  • Develop and use project tools such as tracking logs, audit trails, reconciliation reports, and budget-versus-actual reports.
5. Closing/Transitioning
  • Support delivery and transition of final project deliverables.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, validated, and audit-ready.
  • Close out project records in accordance with records management standards.
  • Review and document lessons learned, including quality and audit insights.

C. Administrative & Continuous Improvement
During downtime:
  • Document best practices, including QA/QC procedures and audit frameworks.
  • Enhance internal templates, checklists, and validation processes.
  • Perform non-chargeable work to improve client satisfaction and delivery quality.

D. Information Management & Analytical Competencies
  • Demonstrate strong technical competence in managing, validating, and reconciling data.
  • Perform data calculations, analyses, and consistency checks.
  • Synthesize and present complex data clearly for various audiences.
  • Conduct business process analysis, identifying risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assess information needs and support implementation of technology solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, traceability, and compliance with documentation standards.

Position Overview:
Celerity Associates are curious self-starters who thrive on variety and problem-solving. In this role, you will support teams on information management and data-intensive projects while developing consulting, data analysis, and client-facing skills. Associates play a vital role in helping our utility clients manage complex data sets, documents, and processes with accuracy and efficiency. This includes supporting projects that evaluate and validate data and engineering documentation for both overhead and underground electric system structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review business, technical, and engineering documents (digital and hard copy) to capture and extract key data.
  • Verify data on underground and/or overhead electric system structures, including current components, configuration, and substantiating documentation of asset conditions.
  • Perform searches and data validation using client platforms such as GIS, SAP, and document repositories.
  • Review and analyze job packages, engineering drawings, and project documentation to confirm alignment with current system records.
  • Enter, manipulate, validate, and format data in Microsoft Excel or Access.
  • Conduct spreadsheet analyses, summarize findings, and prepare reports for client and internal teams.
  • Create and maintain logs and tracking systems to manage data and documents from collection through delivery.
  • Provide project support and administrative tasks, including scanning, copying, and document handling.
  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in customer service, data management, engineering documentation, or a client-facing role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel required; Access preferred).
  • Experience working with GIS and SAP systems strongly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze job packages, engineering documentation, and utility asset records.
  • Prior exposure to electric, gas, or utility industry data management is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to client sites.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time.
  • Ability to operate a computer, scanner, copier, and related office equipment on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and clients to exchange accurate project information.
  • Ability to move and/or carry boxes up to 40 pounds with or without assistance.
Pay: $28 - $31/hour
This recruitment will be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates for positions anticipated to open over the next six months.

The salary range for this position is provided in good faith and is subject to variation based on geographic location, candidate experience, and market conditions. Final compensation will be determined after a comprehensive evaluation of the candidate’s qualifications and alignment with the role.
