Senior Business Analyst, Utility Process Consultant
Location: Remote (Work from home eligible)
Position Overview
Celerity is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a key transformation initiative at Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) focused on electric distribution patrol and inspection processes. This role will participate in process discovery, mapping, and optimization efforts to improve safety, compliance, and operational performance. The ideal candidate combines deep utility domain expertise with strong process modeling capabilities, using tools such as SAP Signavio (preferred) or equivalent platforms.Key Responsibilities
- Participate in end-to-end business process mapping and analysis for electric distribution patrol and inspection programs
- Work with stakeholders across field operations, engineering, vegetation, asset management, and compliance
- Document current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) processes using BPMN 2.0 standards
- Develop process models using tools such as SAP Signavio (preferred), ARIS, Blueworks, Visio, or similar
- Capture workflows including patrols, inspections, defect prioritization, and compliance cycles
- Identify process inefficiencies, risks, and gaps related to inspection completion, data quality, and handoffs
- Align processes with SAP S/4HANA, SAP EAM, and mobile workforce solutions
- Define KPIs such as inspection adherence and defect backlog
- Establish process governance standards and documentation practices
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis or process mapping
- Experience in electric utilities, especially distribution patrol and inspection
- Expertise in BPMN 2.0
- Experience with process mapping tools (Signavio, ARIS, Blueworks, Visio, etc.)
- Experience in regulated utility environments
- Strong stakeholder facilitation skills
- Experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

The salary range for this position is provided in good faith and is subject to variation based on geographic location, candidate experience, and market conditions. Final compensation will be determined after a comprehensive evaluation of the candidate’s qualifications and alignment with the role.
